song 65 : Recession killing phones?

jeez, recently a lot of walkman phones stopped production. So these are the 3 cheapest phones left.


This is W200i, price around 300+ for AP
I will definitely not buy this phone no matter what
Worst walkman phone ever! (Pardon me, Jacy, for condemning your phone)

-128x160 pixel
-65,536 color CSTN
-No bluetooth
-Infrared port
-M2 Card Extension

This is W350i. Second cheapest phone, 400+ fo AP. Has all the same functions as W380i
But the design is like one of those ancient motorolla phones.
Maybe it was meant to have the retro look...

This is the third cheapest phone, W380i, currently 460 for AP (the price is dropping very fast)
Got a feeling the price might drop a lot more.
Not a popular model really...







I realise that the prices of phones are getting flushed down the bowl recently. Could it be due to the recession? Cause in economics, low sales will cause prices to be cut to encourage more sales...
Or am I wrong about that economics thing?

Now all the 3G models are so much cheaper compared to two months ago.
Even that Sony Ericsson Cybershot phone with the round buttons (forgot the name of the model)
is now 700+ only for midland phone. So i think the price for AP around 590+

Song 64 : LCR the Phone Junkie

So let's see... They say that we'll be getting RM300+ after coming back from NS (gov's generous offer). So before going, I already knew what to spend the money on! A new Walkman Phone!

But dont get me wrong!

I'm not a phone junkie! Its just that recently, i'm having a bit of trouble with my phone, the joystick is ruined!(never ever buy a phone with joystick) Plus there is no memory card slot to store my songs. Much to my chagrin, my MP3 mysteriously broke down ONE DAY after the PC fair (if only that stupid thing rosak earlier, then i can get another one at a low price la, but NOOOO it just had to go banannas ONE DAY after the PC FAir!)

So i've been going songless for some time.

Initially I thought of getting another MP3 player, but considering my phone's annoying joystick, I thought what the hell, might as well get a new phone. So i've decided what to do with the NS money, way before NS even started! XD

Currently I had my eyes on this phone

Its the Sony Ericsson W380i!
Price for AP is around 500+

But considering its horrible functions, I'm Pretty sure the price will tumble.
The functions are shitty for such a price!

-1.3 Megapixel camera with no video recording
-Only 300 hours of standby time
-14 MB internal memory with M2 Card extension
-176x220 pixels screen
-weighs 100g

In, short, very bad combination. It's a bad deal

So why on earth did I say i want to get it?

Sigh...
People like me have an inexplicable lust for clamshell phones. Just because its a flip model, I am willing to turn a blind eye on the horrid functions.

I have always longed for a clamshell phone (hehe) Crazy for it more than other shapes. Even slide leaves no impression on me, but a flip phone will definitely make me go ~WOW~

SO its like i'm buying a phone just because of the pretty design despite its bad insides.
I feel like I'm really turning into a phone junkie!

Compare that phone just now with this W610i phone

It has:

- 2MP cam with recording
-350 hours of stanby time
-64MB internal memory with M2 Extension
-Cam with LED flash
-weighs only 93g

Conclusion, its a much better phone than the clamshell one, as it provides all the optimum functions for only RM400+

Its a much better deal really. And it triumphs W380i in every single aspect.

But if only this phone was clamshell!!!!!!
Argh!!!!!

I really cant believe my obsession for flip phones is going to lead me into becoming a bad consumer!

When I heard this song's title, I thought "Hey this might actually be a good song!" I actually thought the Cats are finally going to sing something meaningful and inspirational to the youths out there.

But when is heard it on hitz tv, Gosh, it was a nightmare.

The song was horrible and there was not a single tune in it. The lyric's goes like "when i grow up, I wanna be famous, wanna be a star, wanna have boobies."

This made me think "what the?" Is this what they want to teach the younger generation?

I wonder what will happen when lil' 6 year old girls tell their mum, "Mommy, I wanna have boobies."
The next thing you realise is that the plastic surgeons around the globe are earning millions form kindergarten girls that want to have silicones slid under their chest.

I think they should really start singing songs that have meaning in it. What's with "loosen up my buttons babe" phenomenon?

There is nothing special about the song at all. The only thing that lured people into listening to it is the sexually suggestive music and the videos with scantily dressed females. Besides that, I cant see the reason, why they can crawl up the billboard with that.

And what's worse is that the band is made up of only one real singer whereas the rest are only serve as highly decorative tools to skip around in videos in their tighties to harvest erections.

Anyhow, I honestly think that the Nicole girl really has big talent to sing. But it really surprises me that she would rather waste her talent away by singing such songs and devoting herself more into dirty dancing than singing.

Is it true that erotic video clips can gather more people?

Hmm.. I dont really agree. If people want something that can excite them, they would have watched other stuffs that are the real thing (ahem) Plus, all that fierce dancing is not sexy in any way at all. Its disgusting and annoying.

Its synonymous to a guy scratching his private in front of a girl.

Anyway, you might want to try listening to Daughtry if you dont like the Pussy. Daughtry is definitely one of the best bands around! Superb voice and a heart of gold for the poor, that's what they are!
They are one of the only singers that give back to the people. Cant wait for another album from them
