Song 57 : Just for fun

Congratulations , you are...

Mr Miyagi of myveryownglob.blogspot.com

You are witty, and you know people from places. Those two qualities and others make you a very popular person among your peers, because they want to hear you dish out filthy backstage gossips. You also have a knack for inventing new words to suit yourself. You are a very loyal friend, and would jump into the ocean if your friend asked you to. And that's probably gonna happen if your friend gets too jealous of you getting all the girls/guys.

Congratulations lim chong ren, you are...

minishorts of minishorts.net

You are outgoing, direct, smart, pretty, and a definite go-getter. You are frank, a little too frank perhaps that sometimes you get on people's nerves and make them very upset. If people attack you, you hit back with triple the force without blinking because you are the kind of person who knows exactly what you are talking about or else you wouldn't talk about it. Your quick-thinking is what makes you special. You are an elitist.

Song 56 : Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Nottingham U

i really enjoyed my holidays this time. I dont know why. Though i could swear is wasnt as fun as others that i had, i really really enjoyed it!

so we had this company dinner in an old and lousy hotel. Well, it wasnt that bad. On second thought, musty carpets, smokers in the ballroom, and horrible music accompanying us the whole night.

Yup, it was bad..

the string of oddly dressed performers were the worst add of the night.

Imagine men in their forties, trying to fit into tight white tees with their paunch bulging out, only supported by leather belts that may give way anytime. And those sunglasses! Ugh! they look like some "lao hiao" apek that just discovered the forces within after a dose of Tongkat Ali!

and nope. No picture of them here coz i wouldnt want to corrupt my memory card with such hilarious yet grotesque memories!

but surprisingly, the food exceeded expectations. Not bad for a hotel that gave such a negative impression.

next day, went to Ikea to have lunch.

The food was way way good!

By sniffing the aroma wafting around the cafeteria, you would salivate so much that God would have to look for another Noah!

After lunch, my sis and I hung around Ikano and the Curve.

Everyting in Ikano is big! From the shoplots to the urinal!

However, the curve was just another one of those fashion courts that was intended for ladies.

So after going to KL, It was Melaka!

Ming Hong's parents decided to stop subscribing for Astro as they reckoned enough was enough! That kid has been gluing his eyeballs onto that idiot box 24/7 and it was high time that something was to be done!

And so, the smart card went poof! And my viewing privilages went poof along with it!

And my uncle's wife has not really improved that much in her housekeeping skills as compared to the last trip...

So as usual, tip toes in the house. Wouldnt want to get your soles one something foreign, would you?

Since its a village there are tonnes of subject for me to snap with my camera!

Later we visited sek kia eenh temple to drop something there and went to dataran pahlawan to have tea Or coffee (literally) since we went to old town cafe. The toast tastes really good, but the price was a little unreasonable. kinda expensive actually.

We met up with our uncle there, and headed to his house.

this is my cousin btw, AKA along-to-be

After the melaka trip, we visited my sister in Nottingham U

Really envy my sis! Its such a cool place there!

there are ducks in the lake too!

Hope i can study there too

Ja, Gambateh yo Ren San~

Anyhow, I wish i had a Digital SLR...

Song 55 : Program Latihan Khidmat Negara

I got chosen for it

sigh

half of the students from my class were compelled to go too

and they are:

wil shen
sree
tian jian
manee
harin
suresh raj
jason lew
siew hoong
william
janathen
xian yung
kenny

Some of them havent checked yet. So the real figure isnt confirmed yet

Anyway, i'm kinda ok with this idea of going there, its like some kind of American summer camp that we watch in movies

It might actually be fun, who knows?

Not trying to be sour grapes or a hypocrite, but since the events turned out like this, might as well look at the positive side rather than sulk right?

Anyhow, i find it a little annoying that people laugh at us and say "good for you! you will suffer like in hell! You will eat food that taste like shit there!"

I know that they are extremely delighted that they weren't chosen, but must they tell us all these?
Its hard to be optimistic with all those words that they are saying

But im trying
and so are the other 13 people (the number might grow)

thus, if you are on of those that go around saying words like that, think again.
Some people are already down with that idea of going there and shaving their scalps off, and you on the other hand, are busy mocking them.
I'm sure you wouldnt like that done to you too right?

So my advice, dont do it.
Instead of making all that "you die d la" comments, just console them and remind them its not that bad.

Song 54 : We're one family

The Olympics 2008 opening ceremony was so good!

I really liked it as it talked a lot about Chinese history.
The use of a scroll like screen to depict chinese history is very creative indeed.
The part where the dancers swayed and painted the paper simultaneously was beyond this world!
And the children painting the paper to show how important it is to instill environmental thoughts in children! Nice!

The part which i liked most was the Taichi part!
DAmn cool!
The pearl silk attire and the laser-projection really worked!
It really showed harmony between humans and nature, which is what taichi is really all about!
and
Taichi is the coolest martial arts in the world!

Anyway, it seems that in this world that has such relative harmony on the surface, but is actually churning with grudge in the core, I find myself really impressed that all these countries that has always pointed missiles at each others' faces would actually put all that war nonsense aside and actually come together for the spirits of sportsmanship.

It's like Sports is the unity factor in human relationship.
in the arena, its as if everyone puts their black hearts away for once and let their hair down.

Looking at the opening ceremony, you cant help but to believe that for once, eternal peace can be achieved.
I mean, why not?
If we can do it for 17 days, why not longer?

Sometimes i wish that the Olympics can last forever.
I'm Sick
Sick of all the fighting and bickering...
Why cant we stop killing each other?
Why can't we just adopt the habit of giving each other a big hug and sing compliments in each others' ears like in Barney and Friends?

Maybe this world really is decaying.
Maybe Nostradamus wasnt wrong
